texture painte

Paint samples on walls before you commit to several gallons of paint after you've chosen your favorite paint color schemes . Buy a quart of each and apply them to sample pieces of poster board. Tape these to the wall to see how each color look under different lighting conditions and with your furnishing.

Today computer technology takes much of the guesswork out of color matching colors to paint a room. If you provide a clean, solid sample of the color about the size of a quarter that you want to match, the computer will analyze the sample and print a formula for mixing the paint.

Experiment with paint samples on walls until you get the color you want than it is to repaint an entire room. Paint departments offer thousands of color chips to aid in selection of paint color schemes. All colors look different under different light source. All colored paints darken as they dry.

Check the colors to paint a room in the morning, noon, and night because the room lighting conditions may change. Make your final selection only after looking at each sample at different times of the day, in several different areas of the room.

When collecting paint samples on walls remember to look for different surface texture and aim to incorporate one or two accent colors, too. The power of an accent color depends on the background of colors it is combined with. A pattern can tell you which paint color schemes go well together, but it can also suggest in which proportions they work best.

A room that is predominantly one color needs a few accents to add pep and interest. Colors to paint a room are usually provided by accessories, such as lampshades, cushions, pictures frames, candles, flowers, or blinds. Remember that colors you may like to wear are not necessarily colors you can live in!.
